About Us

The Gap We Built Around:

Floristry has excellent practitioners and inconsistent education. The knowledge that experienced florists carry — about flower behavior, sourcing decisions, structural logic, pricing that actually works — tends to live in individual heads and informal mentorship rather than structured programs that transfer well. Mr. Jan-Mich exists to put that knowledge into a form that serious learners can access and build from, regardless of where they’re located or who they happen to know.

The Name:

Mr. Jan-Mich is the working name of the platform’s founding instructor — a professional florist with two decades of experience across retail, event, and installation work. The programs are built from that practice: not assembled from general creative education principles, but drawn from the specific knowledge that forms when you’ve priced a thousand proposals, conditioned flowers in every season, and worked out what a client actually means when they say they want something “natural.”

What the Programs Cover:

The curriculum spans design, science, and operations — treated as equally important rather than ranked by creative prestige. A module on cut flower biology sits alongside one on composition principles and one on building a profitable event quote, because all three are part of what it means to work professionally in this field. We don’t treat the business side as a reluctant addition to the creative content. It belongs there.

Who Learns Here:

Our learners include working florists developing specific areas of their practice, career-changers bringing transferable skills into a new field, and small studio owners who are strong on the creative side and want to build equivalent strength in business and operations. What they share is a commitment to doing the work properly — not just aesthetically, but professionally.
